Jan joined Future State Consulting as a foundational member, bringing forth over 25yrs of human resources experience in both the private and government sectors.  Her responsibilities span, employee benefits, payroll, technical writing, employee training and HRIS.  As our cultural leader, Jan has showcased the ability to build lasting relationships with both our consultants and clients, allowing us as a business to anticipate their needs and respond quickly to any requests or questions they may have.

After graduating with a double major in Marketing and Finance, Michael entered the corporate world in Advertising. Quickly realizing that his passion lay in business development, building relationships and connecting individuals to meet business needs he joined Future State as an Account Director, to successfully build a world class experience for both clients and candidates.

After earning her MBA in Finance, Kristen launched her career in accounting and quickly realized that her passion was in helping people. As a result, she pivoted and now has 20+ years in the talent acquisition space. She has grown her full-cycle recruiting skills through agency and corporate settings with a mission to place talent in positions where they will thrive. Kristen brings experience, tenacity, integrity, and exceptional customer service to everything she touches. Outside of work, Kristen loves volunteering for a friend’s non-profit, hiking, & spending time with family and friends.

Thomas Griffin

Thomas joined the Future State team in 2018 as a Talent Executive with over six years of IT and Telecom recruiting experience. Thomas has primarily focused on recruiting in Portland for the last five years, where he has focused on cultivating relationships with PDX’s talented IT professionals. A native of Portland, Thomas graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Journalism.

Kylie Brunger

Kylie is a Talent Executive on the Future State team focusing on identifying new talent for clients. Before Kylie joined Future State, she worked in the banking industry for six years primarily working on portfolio management with small business clients. Kylie realized her passion for working with people and helping them pursue their goals. She graduated from Portland State University, with a degree in psychology.

Prior to joining Future State, Holly enjoyed a 24-year career with Nike in several roles including Project Management, Process Innovation, and Business Analysis. She is passionate about empowering people to find rewarding roles that capitalize on their strengths. Holly enjoys water sports and spending time with her family.

Michelle Dieter

Michelle is the Operation Specialist, providing support to team with reporting and statistical data. Prior to joining Future State, Michelle worked 19 years at Nike as Category Ops Manager, Business Analyst and Account Support. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and her garden.

Sarah MCConville

Sarah is a Talent Executive for the Future State team who loves connecting with candidates to help place them in their ideal role. With a background in real estate, she enjoys making those personal connections and building strong relationships with her clients.

On the weekends, Sarah spends time with her husband and two daughters. As a family they love taking road trips to the Oregon Coast, Sunriver, and just spending time outdoors.

Harrison Bishop

Harrison is the Managing Director for Future State Consulting. He jumped into the recruiting industry after his baseball career with the Pittsburgh Pirates came to an end. Harrison’s focus for Future State is mentoring our internal team on our unique approach and directly recruiting premier IT professionals within the market.

Matt Balch

Matt is a Talent Executive on the Future State team with a passion for connecting top candidates with clients. Before Matt joined  Future State, he lead the talent acquisition efforts for an agency in the creative industry. There he  quickly realized his passion for helping people make advances in their careers and follow their passions. Matt graduated from Utah Valley University with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Public Speaking.

Megan Black
Megan Black is passionate about developing her career opportunities and hobbies. She is a computer science student with a focus in biometric security. She has 2 years of computer science classes under her belt. Megan is excited to keep learning all there is to know about the Software Engineering community and is involved in OSU’s ACM-W club as well as Security Club. Megan also loves to play piano, cook, and go camping with her family.
